Hi there! We are Brandon and Shanna Lahti and welcome to our new blog called Lahtida Creations! We are creative people by nature and wanted to explore creating a home by focusing on the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, and also add a fourth R: Repurpose! Over the last two years, we have all endured some trying times: with the COVID pandemic, virtual school, tough work conditions, you name it. So, with the allowance of a slower time, we began to get curious about what we could do to make some positive changes in our home life.
I am finally starting this blog that has been mulling around in my head for some time now. So – New Year, New Me, amiright? Over time, Brandon and I have learned new things to create from everyday objects lying around the house to repurpose, learning how to use those items, and reducing waste. I learned how to crochet during the pandemic and we bought a Cricut Maker, and our Pinterest boards are filling up with all the things we want to create!

The one thing I hope to achieve from this blog, other than connecting with others who follow our journey, is to face my fears of putting myself out there, and sharing, growing and learning with our followers. My goal is not to be perfect, but to be honest about how novices can make great things and make small changes!
